Event Name: Carolina Canopy Workshop - Weathering the Storm
Date: 04/17/19
Time: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

With the 2018 hurricane season behind us, this workshop is chance to hear from the experts how to be prepared for future storm events. Communities can hear how to better prepare themselves, and their trees, and what to expect regarding tree clean up and recovery following a storm event. Arborists and landscapers will hear about where they fit in with the process of storm recovery and how better to prepare their clients for storm events. Attendees will also learn about a resource that is available to communities to help with storm recovery efforts, the Urban Forest Strike Teams, teams of trained arborists that can help with debris and tree assessments to aid in faster recovery. So if you work with trees, manage the urban forest, or live in an area prone to storms, please join us to learn all about how to manage trees before, during and after a storm.
