Looking for a worthy cause to support?
Consider donating to the North Carolina Urban Forest Council. Your contribution will support the following tree management and education efforts across North Carolina:
- Legacy Tree Fund -- Our flagship grant program helps local communities plant trees within their neighborhoods, public spaces, and schools.
- Carolina Canopy Workshop and NC Community Tree Webinar series -- Both education programs provide urban foresters, arborists, landscape contractors, and landscape architects with the latest information they need to maintain their professional credentials. Tree advocates also enjoy these programs to ensure they are pursuing conservation efforts that adhere to the highest standards in the tree care industry.
- Tree advocacy and outreach -- As a partner in multiple intiatives, from the Bradford Bounty Program to North Carolina Community Tree Advocacy Network, NCUFC seeks opportunities to share its knowledge about urban forest management with the general public. Additionally, we generate a monthly newsletter to help tree care professionals and tree enthusiasts learn the latest news in urban forest management across the state and nation. When needed, we also share our tree care knowledge with elected officials to inform their policy decisions (e.g., tree protection ordinance).
- Career development -- As our communities experience extreme weather and plant more trees, they will need a reputable source of arborists to manage each tree. NCUFC is spearheading efforts to expose youth and young adults to the career opportunities found within arboriculture.
Help us protect trees where we live, work and play!
