Aug 16, 2019
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Registration is closed. Contact Leslie Moorman (252-653-6277) with any questions.
The Biltmore Estate offers this unique workshop opportunity, with the assistance of the NC Urban Forest Council. The workshop is generously sponsored by:
Philip van Wassenaer, an internationally recognized leader in conservation arboriculture and tree risk management, and Alex Satel, an experienced consulting arborist, will lead an interactive workshop giving participants a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge beyond basic tree risk assessment concepts.
Through hands on demonstration and engaging discussions, attendees will experience how Level 3: tree risk assessment methods, such as sonic tomography and tree pulling tests, are undertaken in the field. Participants will learn how these methods complement visual assessments to support evidence based management and help conserve mature and valuable trees.
Limited workshop seats are available. Please register early to secure your participation.
